Larry Clarkberg

Knowledge Town creates outstanding WordPress-based websites. Our Knowledge Town Framework (soon to be an open source project!) enables us to rapidly develop custom WordPress plugins. We’re a small shop consisting of me; my business partner and designer extraordinaire Leda Black; premium developers Steve Mohlke and Jeff Amaral, and several spunky genius interns. We are based in scenic Ithaca New York. Many of our jobs are for the large university here, including our award-winning Cornell University Department of Music website. My role at Knowledge Town is to ensure that websites meet the needs of their audiences. To this end I conduct design research, user interviews, and usability tests using techniques that I learned in the process of earning a master’s degree in human-centered communication design from the world-renowned Institute of Design in Chicago.
